The Extremer Quiz

Understanding The Results of The Extremer Quiz

The Extremer Quiz is designed to help you Check Yourself Out, to figure out how your current choices are enabling you to live up to your extreme potential. There are four categories that you could have landed in based on your Extremer Quotient Score:

  1. Do You Need to Fire Yourself Up?
  2. Are You Having Trouble Staying Fired Up?
  3. Don’t Stop Now! You’re Getting Your Ass in Gear
  4. You’re an Ass-Kicker!

As we said at the beginning of the Quiz, we are not going to pretend all the results are equal. That said, if you’ve come this far you probably want to know what options are available to you and how you might become more Extreme. And the good news is you can cycle through these levels of Extremeness. Sometimes in life you have to go back to the beginning; the journey is constant.

Do You Need to Fire Yourself Up?

When given the chance to go big, does it seem like you usually go home instead? Why is that? Maybe you’re burned out or feeling adrift. Or maybe you just don’t know what you want and therefore don’t know where to start. Whatever the reason, the bottom line is that unless you’re perfectly happy with your life as it is, you’re overdue to shake things up. It seems you’re ready to make your move – you took this survey, after all!

Extreme Moves:
Check Yourself Out – Instead of just checking the resume boxes, learn to let openness to experience guide you to discover new passions, talents, and goals. Start by following hunches and new opportunities wherever they may appear, and see chapter one of EXTREME YOU for more ideas.
Find Your Magic Drive – Discover the unique drivers in your life that can inspire you to to push yourself harder. Start with what we call “getting in on the action,” and see chapter two for more ideas.

Are You Having Trouble Staying Fired Up?

You know what it means to be Extreme You – sometimes. But other times you stick to playing it safe or mailing it in. That might be just the way you like it, or it might feel right given where you’re at in life right now. If you want more, though, there are steps you can take. Being an Extremer isn’t about going all-in all of the time, but it does mean you’re willing to push yourself to the next level even when you’ve experienced success. Inconsistent efforts won’t get you to the opportunities and discoveries you need to really grow, so find the experiences that make you want to go all in.

Extreme Moves:
Get Out of Line – Learn how to identify moments when you have the knowledge and strength to leapfrog over those around you. Start by scanning for opportunities to be more pro-active, and see chapter three for more ideas.
Try Some Pain Training – It’s necessary to strip yourself down to your most vulnerable before you get on the path to your next win. Start by telling the truth about your setbacks, and see chapter five for more ideas.

Don’t Stop Now! You’re Getting Your Ass in Gear

You’re so so close, but not quite there yet in maximizing Extreme You. You’re up for trying new things, willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone, and you have ambition. But sometimes you still hold yourself back or are a little too reluctant to take a good, hard look in the mirror. Keep doing what you’re doing, but think about what it’s going to take to get you to that next level.

Extreme Move:
Get Over Yourself – Take a hard look at your successes and your failures and understand your role in both. Start by identifying your weak bits and looking for Extreme Mates who can share their strengths. Then see chapter four for more ideas.

You’re an Ass-Kicker!

You’ve figured out what it takes to be an Extremer – that the more you develop yourself, the more new potential you can find. You recognize that even if you’re successful on your own terms, you couldn’t get there without the support of others. That’s awesome! But you can’t rest on your laurels. It’s only a matter of time before the next turn of the Extremer Cycle. One day you will find that you’re either in too deep or stuck on a plateau. Don’t get too comfortable if you want to keep kicking ass.

Extreme Move:
Break Yourself to Make Yourself – Know when you’ve reached your potential where you’re at and it’s time to set the bar higher and start over. Start by ignoring what the competition is doing, and see chapter ten for more ideas.

Now What?

Read the book Extreme YOU: Step Up. Stand Out. Kick Ass. Repeat. The book explains the ideas in much more detail than this website. The book is written to inspire and guide you. It is not a dry self-help tome, but details the real experiences of real people in a fun and informative style.
